Steps in Constructing Your Web Site

These are the steps involved in a typical Web Site design project:

Step 1 -- Marketing Decision

You decide you should market your business or service on the Internet, as part of your larger marketing plan.. 

Step 2 -- Selecting and Hiring a Company

Through the Internet or some other contact you have found Katsoft, Inc. Over the phone, in person, or by email we will discuss your Web site and ideas with you. Together we will develop a web site tailored to your ideas and the type of presence you want on the internet. On this Web site we have a worksheet page and a contract page. These pages will help us to complete your Web site rapidly and in line with your marketing plan.

Step 3 -- Shipping Your Data to Katsoft, Inc.

You ship us any existing text or images, photos, graphics, company logo, brochures and booklets, catalogs, etc. either on a diskette or hard copy. These materials will be digitized and returned to you on disk only no hard copy will be returned.  Print two copies of the contract page, one of which we will sign and return to you. Send a check for 50% of the total contract price.

Step 4 -- Test Your Web Site

After we have assembled your Web site, we will upload a first draft to our Web site. We will give you the Web address for your review. Then you contact us with your feedback. Be prepared to take some time for a critical review of your Web site. We will make changes based on your feedback. This can take several trial and errors.

Step 5 -- The Marketing of Your Web Site

We work together to develop 9 keywords and a 35-word paragraph or two (no more than 200 characters) describing your site. This information will be placed in the meta tags of your home page for the Web search robots to see and index. This information can also be used when you are ready to list your Web site with different listing services.

Step 6 -- Your Web Site Live on the Internet

Once all the mutually agreed upon components are fine tuned and locked in place, your check will allow us to upload it to your proper domain site. You can now announce it to the world. In addition, we will register your Web site with all the most popular Web search engines using the 9 keywords and the 35 word description for use with their search engines. Within a few days Web search engines will have your Web site listed, and you can expect visitors to start coming to your Web site.

Step 7 -- Updating and Maintenance

Over the next year you can email us whenever you want changes and updates to your Web site. Included in our package price is one hour of updating over the course of a year. Within a week of receiving your email, I will have made the changes and uploaded the revised pages to your host computer.

Step 8 -- Tell a Friend
